Ravishing Rivas Department of Nicaragua

The Pacific Ocean, bordering Nicaragua country, is separated from Lake Nicaragua by a wide isthmus. This isthmus belongs to Rivas Department and has wonderful collections of natural, historic and cultural attractions and so serves as one among the best tourist destinations of the country.

The two of the most visited tourist destinations Ometepe volcanic island and San Juan del Sur coastal town with most amazing beaches in it. The beaches, with being the best place to opt for surfing and snorkeling and volcanic mountains,  with safe hiking spots, has become the most crowded place, all over the year.

Another added up destination of Rivas Department is La Flor Beach Wildlife Refuge. You will find animals and birds belonging to many Families and also some of the rarely found breeds of fauna. The sea turtles crawl into the wildlife refuge and lay thousands of eggs at the same time, in different places. The visitors can enjoy watching little baby turtles crawling around all over the place, without any danger.

The birds keep migrating throughout the year leaving some spaces for other birds, flying from different places. Some birds lay eggs and carry around young ones with them. You can enjoy watching colorful birds belonging to several Families, at the same place and also can improve your knowledge about them.
